Venice International Film Festival

The International Film Festival is the oldest film festival in the world and one of the most prestigious.

Realized for the first time in 1932, from an idea of ​​the President of the Biennale Giuseppe Volpi, of the sculptor Antonio Maraini and of Luciano de Feo, the exhibition immediately gathered a great popularity, becoming an annual appointment since 1935.

The festival, now in its 75th edition, is today a highly prestigious film event that every year presents a billboard with works of world-wide importance, bringing on the red carpet of the Venice Lido some of the most established directors and performers of our thus preserving the tradition that adds to the program of high artistic value the glamor appeal that has always distinguished the event.

The 75th Venice Film Festival, organized by the Venice Biennale and directed by Alberto Barbera, will take place at the Lido of Venice from August 29th to September 8th 2018.
